Frederick "Fritz" Barrett

Frederick (Fritz) Oscar Barrett passed away peacefully October 8, 2020 in Escondido, CA, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was 93.

Fritz was born 6/23/27 in Grace City, ND to Mabel and Frederick Oscar Barrett, Sr. The family moved to California during the Great Depression. He was a devoted family man, preceded in death by his ex-wife Mildred (Barrett) Brunner, his four sisters and two brothers. Fritz is survived by his three sons Paul (Karen), Edward (Cindy) and David (Barbara), his sister Marian (Micki) Williamson, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. 

He was loved by all of his family and friends; always kept people laughing with practical jokes and his unique way of approaching life. Always a hard worker, at the age of 16 he joined the Merchant Marines during WW II, after which, he worked for AT&T and retired after 45 years.

He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and humor.
