Frances Virginia Coleman

March 11, 1923 - August 16, 2021 (Age 98)

Mrs. Frances V. Coleman was born on March 11, 1923 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She was the only child born to Leona Simms.  As a child she enjoyed playing in the vacant lot in front of her house and observing butterflies as a hobby. Frances graduated from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh Pa.  Shortly after graduation, she moved to Chicago Illinois and got a job at an insurance company doing administrative work.  She also had a part time job as a fashion model.  In 1944 she married Theodore L Coleman Sr., a newspaper reporter.  Frances gave birth to her only son, Theodore L Coleman Jr., on March 12, 1946.  After her son was born, Frances became a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her husband and son.  When Frances' husband passed in 1996, she moved to the San Diego North County area to be close to her son.  

Frances will always be remembered for her strong spirit, vibrant personality  and for being a loving devoted wife and mother.  Most people who came in contact with Frances enjoyed being with her.

Frances is survived by her son, Theodore Coleman Jr.  She will be dearly missed by her son and all who came in contact with her.  Frances will live forever in our hearts.
