Bobbie Jo (Steele) Pierce

Bobbie Jo (Steele) Pierce passed away peacefully on December 9, 2021, in Escondido, San Diego County, CA, surrounded by family and loved ones.  

Bobbie Jo was born on July 13, 1929, in Hewitt, Carter County, OK. She was married to her husband, William, 51 years and they raised their family in La Habra, CA where they lived for 33 years.  She loved needlework, playing cards, genealogy research, listening to Patsy Cline, and was an avid shopper and reader. She will be remembered as a “social butterfly” with a beautiful smile and caring temperament.

She enjoyed cooking for her family who favored her wonderful spaghetti sauce, fried chicken and gravy, See’s fudge, and holiday marshmallow salad. Bobbie Jo was a strong supporter of her children's endeavors that included Camp Fire Girls, YMCA Athletics, and high school sports and cheer. 

Bobbie Jo is survived by four children and their spouses; Gail Climer and her husband Jack, Becky Palenske and her husband Garner, Gerald Pierce, John Pierce and his wife Sharon. Bobbie Jo is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pierce.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Spring of 2022.
