Elizabeth "Liz" Maher

Elizabeth Maher entered Heaven Friday July 26 surrounded by family. She was 64.  She had been sick for some time and is finally at peace. 

Born in Portsmouth,VA she spent a majority of her life residing in Escondido, CA. She retired in 1992 after a plentiful career as a Cosmetologist. She spent her later years as a volunteer for many local organizations including The Escondido Republican Club. She was known as the “Cross Lady” handing out more than 10,000 crosses and prayer cards for Operation Safety 91 an organization that benefits US Soldiers. 

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Dolores Berliguette and Survived by her Husband of 42 years Thomas, Daughter and Son In Law, Andrew and Tami Hieb, Grandchildren, Andrew Jr., Seraphina, Scarlette, and Baby Hieb arriving January 2020. 

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday August 7, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 1170 S. Broadway Escondido, CA.
