C. Richard Strauch

C. Richard Strauch -  

Charles Richard Strauch was born on February 29th, 1928 in Benton, Pennsylvania to Mahlon and Helen Strauch.  He became an Eagle Scout in his youth in Benton.

Richard is a graduate of Duke University where he played four years on the Duke baseball team.

He worked for 30 years as a Special Agent for the FBI.  He served in Chicago, Butte, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Honolulu and San Diego, after which he was employed for 20 years as a Contract Investigator for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Retiring in San Diego he became an active member of the Rancho Bernardo Lions Club.

He is survived by one son, Jeffery Mark Strauch of San Diego.  Another son Craig Richard Strauch preceded him in death in 1991 as did his brother, David Mahlon Strauch who died in 2010.
