| Direct Cremation Removal from the place of death; Initial meeting with the family; Securing legal documents for the cremation; Cremation container; Cremation; Temporary urn; Local obituaries submitted; Documents for Veterans submitted if applicable; Cremated remains picked up in our Escondido office Cremation with Memorial Service Includes all that is in Direct Cremation; Our presence at a facility/church to conduct the Memorial Service (if you do not have a facility, we will help you find one); Equipment for service (flower stands, recorded music, memorial book stand) Disposition We will deliver cremated remains to a local cemetery; ship by US Postal Service to a facility or cemetery (some restrictions on countries receiving remains); Scatter cremated remain at sea off the coast of San Diego County Graveside Services Removal from the place of death; Refrigeration (embalming is not required if there is no public viewing and the casket is closed); Initial meeting with the family; Casketing and dressing remains; Securing legal documents; Coordination with the clergy and cemetery; Use of alternative vehicle (Astro van) or traditional coach; Submitting for Honor Guard/Flag for Veteran, if applicable; Equipment for service Traditional Funeral Services and Viewing Removal from the place of death; Embalming (embalming is not required if there is no public viewing and the casket is closed); Initial meeting with the family; Casketing and dressing remains; Securing legal documents; Coordination with the clergy, facility/church and cemetery; Use of alternative vehicle (Astro van) or traditional coach; Submitting for Honor Guard/Flag for Veteran, if applicable; Equipment for service; Viewing same day as service, or at facility on another day; Escorts required if cars are in procession from facility/church to cemetery/cremetory California Funeral Alternatives now has a small viewing and chapel area. This area would be available for up to 60 people in attendance. If a larger area is needed, we encourage each family to use their own church, or we can provide a place for a memorial/funeral service at local facilities. Forwarding Remains to Another City/State Removal from the place of death, Embalming is required to ship human remains on public transportation. Initial meeting with the family; Casketing and dressing remains; Securing legal documents; Coordination with the public transport; Delivery to the airport or other transport; outside container for casket required for public transport; coordination with receiving mortuary Traditional Funeral Service may take place before forwarding remains.
